Expect the Unexpected - Home Organization with Brittany

Let’s start with a quick recap from last week. Who worked on the calendar goal? Where you surprised? I know I was. I am a calendar person lol. I have day planner in my purse that has everything color coded. I have a house calendar that has everybody/everything on it. My cell phone is synced to my gmail calendar which holds important things, usually appointments. Then I have a pregnancy calendar to update and keep track of all the fun little things. I’ll admit before my goal was set last week these all had been neglected for a while. Now that they are all caught up, I understand why I felt so lost. We’ve got some busy times ahead. What did you think of this goal?

Now for expecting the unexpected. Who can honestly say they are home organized to expect the unexpected? Don’t worry if your not, as trust me, I’m not either. If my mom walked in right now, she’d have a bird. We are facing the slight possibility of a town-wide evacuation due to flooding. Do you think I’m really prepared for that? I can tell you that NOPE I’m really not. Although I’d like to fool myself into thinking I really am. Mentally I have a list of what we would need to take with us. But that list isn’t written down, and I should know not to trust my mental notes to stick around when I need them most. And honestly, I haven’t even considered to start packing. This could be interesting if an evacuation does happen. Especially when I have two adults, three children, a dog, a cat with four kittens and an expected arrival (I’m due August 11) to get packed up and out the door.

This week's goal I’m hoping is another easy one. Either with referring to your calendar, or thinking from previous experience, or both, what unexpected things do you want to be more prepared for? Please comment with your responses. I will include mine in next weeks article.
