At the end of a long day, I like to relax by watching a great show on TV.  Some of my favorite shows to watch are Modern Family, The Middle and American Idol.  Of those three, I think I can relate with The Middle the most.  Just like in the show, it never fails that my children will come to me at the last minute with an assignment that needs to be completed by the next day.  

I usually sit down to watch TV around 8:00pm each evening.  The kids however turn on the TV after their homework is finished which is around 3:30pm in the afternoon.  Their favorite shows are Spongebob and ICarly.  Even I enjoy watching ICarly.

Creating new uses for everyday is one of my favorite things to do.  I get to be thrifty and crafty all at the same time.   Here is a list of 10 things you can create from your old or unused items.

1.  Create Coasters from Old Placemats - Have you ever had one of your placemats get a stain on it that you just could get out? Well, how you can still get use out of that old placemat by turning it into a drink coaster. Placemats are usually water resistant so they make perfect coasters.  Simply cut them into the size of your choice and voila a new set of drink coasters.  Additionally, you can also pick up a placemat from a local dollar store to use for drink coasters as well.
