Publix offers five different types of kid's meals.
- Peanut Butter on Honey Wheat Roll with reduced fat string cheese, snack carrots, unsweetened apple sauce, fruit juice.
- Chicken Tender on Honey Wheat Roll with Yo-kids yogurt, snack carrotts, fruit juice.
- Peanut Butter and Green Apple Wrap with Yo-kids yogurt, snack carrots, reduced fat string cheese and fruit juice
- Oven Roasted Turkey on Honey Wheat Rolls with apple slices and grape pack, Craisins and 2% organic milk.
- Ham on Whole Wheat Thin Bread with Yo-Kids Yogurt, snack carrots and Mott's apple juice.
Both sandwiches were very good. My daughter loved the ham sandwich and everything that came with it. My son liked the peanut butter sandwich however he doesn't like yogurt or carrots so needless to say he didn't have much a meal.
Overall, I would say that these meals are nutritious and I definitely recommend them for children who do like yogurt and carrots. I think these meals might appeal to a wider group of children if they were to include an apple instead of or in addition to the carrots. I also would prefer that they leave out the yogurt only because I would feel comfortable not having this refrigerated if my child wasn't going to eat it right away.
