I love family vacations. Not only are they a great way to get away from it all but they are also a great way to spent time with your family. We are such a busy family that when we have time to get away on a family vacation, we thoroughly enjoy the much needed time for fun and frolic. Check out my top 7 family vacation spots that are sure to put a smile on everyone's face.
- Disney World - Orlando, Florida.
This family vacation spot is near and dear to my heart. Born in Florida, I've visited Disney World more times than I can count. Visiting Disney World as an adult, makes me feel like a kid again. Furthermore, I love sharing the wonders of Disney World with my children. And of course nothing can match Disney World's excellent custom service. I always say, "Nobody does like it Disney". A visit to Disney World is definitely at the top of my family vacation destination list. Read about my stay at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort.
- Hershey Park - Hershey, Pennsylvania.
If you have a sweet tooth and a great sense of adventure, then Hershey Park is the family vacation spot for you. Hershey Park is one of the largest amusement parks I have ever been to. And they have rides for every age. There is also a water park within Hershey Park. After visiting the park, you can spend some time at Hershey's Chocolate World where you can learn about Milton Hershey and Hershey's Chocolate is made. My family had a blast at Hershey Park and can't wait to go back. - Washington D.C.
If you like museums and learning about American history, then this is the family vacation spot for you. Visiting the National Mall is packed full day with so much to see. My kids were fascinated with seeing dinosaur bones, and now ancient man lived. After visiting the museums, don't forget to check out the monuments as well as the Capital building. School age children will especially enjoy visiting Washington D.C. for they will be able to relate it to what they have learned in the classroom. - Sesame Place - Langhorne, Pennsylvania.
If you're kids love Sesame Street, then Sesame Place is the place for them. But don't let the name count the older kids out. Sesame Place is a water and amusement park with rides for children of all ages. There are even rides that the whole family can ride on together. Many hotels near by even offer special two day discount tickets with hotel reservation. - Wintergreen Resort - Wintergreen, Virginia.
Wintergreen Resort is a beautiful resort on top of a mountain located in Wintergreen, Virginia right near the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Resort offers snow skiing, tubing, snow boarding and also has a kid's play area, Ridgley's Fun Park. Wintergreen makes their own snow starting in October so you don't have to wait for the weather to bring a snowfall to have fun. My kids had a blast in the snow tubing park. You are also able to join multiple tubes together so the whole family can ride together. Ridgley's offers kid size snow tubing slopes as well as tons of man-made snow to build and play in. - Jellystone Campgrounds - Many Locations in US.
Jellystone has a ton of fun things to do on your family vacation. Your family can get wet in the pool, waterslides, paddle and motorboats. There is also hiking, mini golf, "Hey" rides, playgrounds, train rides and pedal carts. Accommodations include tent camping, RV camping and vacation rentals. Yogi, Boo Boo and Cindy Bear are waiting for you. - Yellowstone National Park - Montana and Wyoming.
Yellowstone National Park is well known for its wildlife and especially for its geyser, Old Faithful. Yellowstone spans an area of 3,468 square miles. Activities include hiking, camping, horseback riding and and boating. So bring your family to Yellowstone and get back to nature on your family vacation.
