Diet Tips on How to Cut Fat Calories

Women's Health Magazine's article "78 Ways to Cut Fat Calories from Your Diet" talks about how easy it is to pack on the weight and how difficult it is to take it back off.  Women's Health outlines 78 ways to cut back on those unwanted fat calories at breakfast, lunch, snack, dessert, drive-thru fast food restaurants and eating out.

Making a few minor changes to your eating habits can help you cut back on fat and eventually lose weight. Some of these changes include switching from pork sausage to turkey sausage.  My family and I eat turkey pepperoni on our pizza and it tastes good without all of the unwanted grease. Another quick fat and calorie cutter is to use mustard on your sandwiches instead of mayo.  By eliminating the mayonnaise, you've just cut 80 calories.  Do you know how long you would have to workout to burn 80 calories? A lot longer than it takes to switch to mustard on your sandwich. Also try to avoid adding sugar to your iced tea.  I use Splenda and actually prefer it over sugar. My iced tea taste sweet and without an odd after taste.

Losing weight can be challenge especially the older we get.  However, making a few changes to our diets can start us on the right track to slimming down.  So don't pass the butter and skip the seconds - your waistline will thank you.

  5. It really comes down to how many calories we consume daily. But I think the real problems causing weight gain today is a combination of processed foods and stress eating. I recently lost weight because one I identified some of my challenges losing weight, and these challenges included junk food and stress eating. I used food to cope with anxiety and stress in my life. I would reach for junk, processed foods the moment I felted stressed. Food provided me with instant gratification a temporary lift. Unfortunately, this small lift was short lived and left me with the same problems as well as several hundred extra calories which converted into fat.

Once I started changing my eating habits and stopped stress eating I started to lose weight. I started my weight loss plan by finding out my daily calorie intake so that I knew how many calorie I needed to cut daily to start losing weight. I used the Calorie Calculator which determined my bodies BMR and provided me with my daily calorie which was a great start for me. I still need to lose weight but I am on my way! I also started an exercise program.
