I've had a fresh water aquarium for almost a year now. I don't claim to be a fish expert by any means. Whenever I feed the fish I always take a look at the fish to make sure all are doing well. For time to time I would notice that a fish would be missing. I would think to myself, "Where did it go?", "Did it get eaten by the other fish?". I would just chalk it up to one of those mysteries in life that you just don't have the time or interest to figure out.
So today my husband and I were moving our entertainment center out of the family room to make room for the new built in entertainment center that we're building. When we moved the entertainment center, guess what we found? That's right... The fish. There were three dead fish. The fish must have jumped out of the tank, behind the entertainment center and somehow got completely underneath of it. Well, we had a funeral for the fish. Of course, it was a burial at sea.

That's hilarious. Fish love to jump out of the tank, and then flip flop under things. We always used a tank cover to keep them from jumping out.
ReplyDeleteGreat story!

I plead guilty...when I was a little girl, I just had to touch our goldfish...and of course, they died so I just put them back in the fish bowl and my mom thought they died of natural causes :( naughty, naughty Becky Jane...LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks, Becky Jane
Raising kids can be a lot like weeding the rose bed...well worth it, but...OUCH!

Ha Ha. Too Funny. Used to have a fish tank, but couldn't figure out why our fish kept dying, but even my contemplating getting another one, I'm not sure I have the heart to kill anymore fish. Maybe a nice beta would do.

ReplyDeleteWe've been considering setting up a fish tank but with my luck, this would happen to me. Only they'd start stinking and then we wouldn't be able to find their rotting carcasses.
:( Awww....my condolences- I am def an aquatic lover (4 saltwater tanks), poor poor fishies.
ReplyDeleteSo..........pics of the new entertainment center up yet?
